About
Hi, I'm QuiQui.
Marquicia Dominguez — QuiQui to most — has spent over 14 years working with children with special needs. I founded Play Lab to build the kind of practice families deserve: one where therapy feels like a warm, creative space, and progress is measured not just in data, but in the moments a child surprises us.

Founder & Lead Therapist
A practice built around the people in the room.
Across 14 years working with children with special needs, I've learned one truth over and over: kids do their best work when they feel safe, seen, and genuinely connected to the person across the table. Good technique opens the door — but it's the laughter, the trust, and the small breakthroughs that make the work stick.
At Play Lab, caseloads stay small on purpose. Every family gets real time, real attention, and a plan that fits no one else. Parents aren't on the sidelines — they're partners. Goals are honest. And play, the real and joyful kind, is how the teaching happens.
What guides our work
The child leads
We start with your child — their strengths, their sensory world, and the things that light them up — and build the plan from there.
Families are partners
You'll always know what we're working on, why it matters, and how to carry it into ordinary moments at home.
Ethics first, always
Modern, compassionate ABA — assent-based, dignity-first, and held to current best practice in every session.
Small on purpose
A small practice means more consistency, quicker communication, and a therapist who actually knows your kid.
Play is the foundation of learning, creativity, self-expression, and constructive problem-solving.
